What has kept me busy day and night:

On the absolute last day, I was able to mail a copy off and enter.
Converting my book into a screenplay has been quite a challenge. I had to go out and buy a screenplay to just know what one looked like. Then I had less then a week to finish it.

Title: Making Lemonade out of Lemons.

Synopsis: Philosophical Drama/Comedy
A teacher, a student and a janitor have interweaving plots inside an unusual elementary school as the teacher learns his purpose in life.

Timeline:
Late July - Quarterfinalists are notified.
Late August - Semifinalists are notified.
Early October - Finalists are notified.
Late October - Fellowship recipients are notified and announced.

The Judges:
Academy members read the scripts that make the semifinal round.

Prize:
The winners receive $30,000 spread over a one-year period.
Fourteen scripts have been produced from one hundred winners.
