I finally went to the Vatican in Rome. Actually, the Vatican came to me. I spent the last week in a new movie due out next year called "Angels and Demons." They rebuilt a replica of the Vatican in Los Angeles and I was on the set from 6:00 pm until 6:00 am. The movie is directed by Ron Howard. Tom Hanks is one of the lead actors. It was an educational experience to work with both of them.
      My scene was a reaction shot as a visiting tourist in Rome when Tom discovers a murdered body on the steps at the Vatican. Tom Hanks would keep me laughing with his jokes when the camera wasn't rolling. He actually has a fun/good guy personality. Ron Howard kept the action going and constantly remained focused on the details. This is sort of what I look like in the movie while leaning against the rail near the body in the Vatican Square sans the candle that I had at the time.
